Sou o João, cheguei a Fremantle ainda em criança. Trabalhei imenso durante a minha vida e devido aos meus esforços, consegui alcançar os prémios de WA Cidadão do Ano em 2000, assim como a Medalha da Ordem da Austrália. Actualmente sou também um Juiz da Paz.
My name is John , and I have arrived in Fremantle while I was still a child. I worked very hard throughout my life and because of my efforts, I was thankfully awarded the prestigious WA Citizen of the Year Award in 2000, as well as my OAM (Medal of the Order of Australia). Currently i'm also a JP (Justice of Peace).
Isabel Faustino
Nasci em Portugal mais propriamente em Lisboa, 63 anos de idade, casada, três filhas, dois Netos Emigrei para a Austrália em 1985 com a família.
Comecei a fazer trabalho voluntário para a comunidade Portuguesa em 1993 a ajudar a direccao do WA Portuguese Club. Passados alguns anos comecei a fazer parte da direccao do Club como secretária até ao preciso momento. Do mesmo modo, fiz parte do Concelho das comunidades Portuguesas, como coordenadora da Escola Portuguesa, assim como do Rancho folclórico Português, do CCP . Ha um ano foi formado em WA o PAWA , Portuguese Australian Women’s Association, da qual sou membro da Direccao. Finalista citizen of the year 2022 categoria comunidade. Em 2023 eu recebi do Governo Português a Medalha de Mérito dasComunidades aqui na Australia Ocidental.
Prioridade , família, e ajudar quem Precisa , e quem me pede. O meu dilema, hoje por ti, amanhã por mim.
I was born in Portugal more specifically in Lisbon, 63 years old, married, three daughters, two grandchildren. I emigrated to Australia in 1985 with my family.
I started doing volunteer work for the Portuguese community in 1993 helping the WA Portuguese Club board. After a few years I started to be part of the Club's management as a secretary until this very moment. Also, I was part of the Council of Portuguese Communities as coordinator of the Portuguese School, as well as of the Portuguese folklore Ranch, of the CCP. A year ago, PAWA was formed in WA, the Portuguese Australian Women's Association, of which I am a member of the Board. I was awarded with the Medal of Merit of the Communities by thePortuguese Government.
Priorities are family and help whoever needs it, and whoever asks me to. My dilemma, today for you, tomorrow for me.
Lucinda Jorge
My name is Lucinda (Cindy). I was born in Ansião, Portugal. I am amother of two and a grandmother to four grandchildren. I was a Para-Legal for
47 years working in the Legal Industry with 32 years of those in Perth and the remaining in Johannesburg with a short period of time in Mozambique. Currently I provide interpreting services both on-site and via video or telephone.In 2023 I was awarded with the Medal of Merit of the Communities by thePortuguese Government. I am fluent in 2 languages (but I studied 5 languages). I love walking,reading, movies and music. My motto is: it is more rewarding to give than to receive.
O meu nome: é Lucinda (Cindy). Eu nasci em Ansião, Portugal. Eu tenho 2 filhos e 4 netos. Durante o período de 47 anos eu trabalheipara Advogados tanto aqui na Australia como na África do Sul com um pequeno período em Moçambique. Presentemente eupresto serviço de interprete onde visito hospitais e também faço serviço de interprete ao telefone ou por vídeo.
Em 2023 eu recebi do Governo Português a Medalha de Mérito dasComunidades aqui na Australia Ocidental.
Eu sou fluente em 2 línguas (mas estudei 5). Eu adoro andar, ler, adoroir ao cinema e adoro música. O meu lema: é mais gratificante dar do que
